I love life and believe
that it should be lived on purpose and with purpose
Hi, I'm Steph! I’m a Christian, wife, mom of four, certified pre & postnatal fitness specialist, birth doula, and the founder of Mission Rise and Mission Motherhood.
I live in State College, PA with my husband, Derek, and our four kiddos— two girls, Blake & Micah, and two boys, Noah + our newest little guy, Levi.
I feel incredibly grateful that my work allows me to walk alongside other women. I want to be the mom friend in your corner who gets it— the full schedules, the kids who need you, the changing bodies, the interrupted workouts, and the seasons when taking care of yourself feels hard. But I also take the responsibility of coaching women seriously.
I’ve spent years learning about fitness, pregnancy, postpartum, birth, and the female body so I can bring you workouts that are not only doable in real life, but smart and effective. I’m living this season right alongside you, and I’m here to help you get stronger through yours!
Six weeks after having my first baby, I was cleared for exercise— and reality quickly sunk in: my time was no longer my own. With a background in professional bodybuilding, the gym had always been my second home. I was used to driving there and spending hours training, and working out at home was never something I thought I’d do.
Four babies later, I’ve learned a lot about adapting through different seasons. I’m here to show you that movement can still have a place in all of them. You don’t need hours in the gym to get stronger. You just need 20 minutes, four times a week, in your own home— with workouts that are effective, FUN, and designed to meet you right where you are.

Becoming a mom, I knew I would make sacrifices—but I promised myself that movement wouldn’t be one of them. I was determined to find a way to make it a priority, even if it looked completely different than it had before.
One day, I went down to my basement, found a pair of dumbbells, rolled out a mat, and fit in a workout while my son napped. Twenty minutes later, I was covered in sweat, feeling strong, and realized I didn’t need hours at the gym to get a great workout. I just needed to be willing to do things differently.
That 20-minute workout changed everything. It was in that moment I knew I was called to do more for women like me—women trying to take care of themselves in the middle of real life. Mission Rise was born in July 2019.
